My name is Craig Perrigin, and I am excited to serve the students, parents, stakeholders of Pickens County High School as your assistant principal. Although this is my second year at Pickens County High School, I have been an educator for 21 years. I am looking forward to working alongside Mrs. Wilson and our faculty as we strive to provide the best learning experience for allof our students.
I am a native of Gordo, where I currently reside with my wife, heather. I previously taught P.E. at Gordo Elementary for 20 years and also spent many years as a coach. One of the people who had the greatest influence in my life was my grandfather. As a young man, he instilled in me many valuable life lessons about how to be the best person I can be in all areas of my life. As an educator, I place a strong emphasis on imparting these life lessons about doing what's right even when it's not the most comfortable or popular thing to do. It has been rewarding to see the moments when children grasp this concept and begin to make positive changes in their own lives and realize they have self-worth and deserve the opportunity to become their best selves. I look forward to continuing to share these same life lessons with our students as we work together to help each and every child at PCHS realize their full potential.
As we embark on a new school year, let's continue to work together to maintain the pride that we all have in our school. I know that with your support and involvement, we can continue Pickens County High School's tradition of excellence! If I can ever be of assistance, my door is always open.
